Yesterday was the ultimate test of my devices’ durability – a mosh pit. For all of my adult life I’ve been a bit of a metalhead – when I was in my early 20s I’d be one of the ones starting every pit, now they are much less frequent. Last night I had a metal gig and for the first time I didn’t have the option to remove my device. I was actually terrified as the when I’d recently been to the O2 in Bristol there had been walk through metal detectors – fortunately here the guards just had hand held ones and didn’t even check most people (including me). The gig itself was awesome, and for about half of their 90/100 minute set I was in the centre of the various pits. Yes I was aware of my device and it was slightly awkward at times, but despite the sweatiness and the constant unnatural movements it didn’t feel like it was going to come off at all – so I’m now more confident about it’s security and durability.
My friends and I went for a few drinks afterwards and at one point my mate wanted me to be his wingman with two pretty attractive girls who had obviously been to our gig, it was very difficult to try and explain, without giving the reason, why I had no interest in trying to pull a woman!
The best part of the gig was it’s location, it was actually in the city where my Mistress and Keyholder now lives (Mistress Nikky French). This meant I was able to meet her for brunch. It was only the third time I’ve now met her in person and the first time I’ve done so without a session. It was really great feeling like I was getting to know her more, she is a lovely, interesting, intelligent person and I could listen to her talk all day (and not just because she holds the key to my cock!).
